Mechanical engineering student chosen for research program at University Park

Hannah Farber, who recently completed her second year at Penn State Wilkes-Barre, has been selected to participate in the Multi-Campus Research Experience for Undergraduates (MC REU) program. The program will allow Farber to conduct research in conjunction with a faculty member from her home campus of Penn State Wilkes-Barre and one based at University Park.

Penn State Wilkes-Barre held its spring 2022 commencement ceremony on Saturday, May 7, in the campus’ Athletic and Recreation Building. Degrees were conferred to graduates in a ceremony attended by families, friends and supporters of the campus.

Penn State Wilkes-Barre has announced the winners of the 2022 Celebration of Scholarship, an annual competition that promotes and encourages undergraduate research. The event allows faculty and students at the campus to present their current research, scholarship and artistic endeavors.

Penn State Wilkes-Barre announces spring 2022 commencement speaker

Will Beekman, general manager at Mohegan Sun Arena in Wilkes-Barre and a member of the Penn State Wilkes-Barre Advisory Board, has been named as commencement speaker for the Class of 2022, Interim Chancellor and Chief Academic Officer Lynda Goldstein announced. Commencement will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 7, in the Athletic & Recreation Building.
