Penn State Wilkes-Barre is a campus of the Pennsylvania State University. Penn State is geographically dispersed, with campuses located across the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. The campuses embody the University’s land-grant mission, bringing the resources of a major university to people in their hometown areas.
Chancellor and Chief Academic Officer
The Chancellor and Chief Academic Officer of Penn State Wilkes-Barre has overall responsibility for the functioning of the campus, as well as oversight of the campus academic programs and faculty. The Chief Academic Officer’s team includes the Assistant to the Chief Academic Officer.
Campus Program Coordinators
Campus Program Coordinators are the faculty on campus in charge of the academic programs from which students can earn a degree at Penn State Wilkes-Barre.
Faculty Senate
The Wilkes-Barre Faculty Senate is the representative body of the Penn State Wilkes-Barre faculty with authority on all matters that pertain to the educational interests of Wilkes-Barre. The Senate acts as an advisory and consultative body to the chancellor of Wilkes-Barre on any matter that may affect the attainment of the educational objectives of Wilkes-Barre. The Senate serves as a forum to exchange ideas among the Wilkes-Barre faculty members, administration and students.
Director of Student Services and Engagement
The Director of Student Services and Engagement (DSSE) has the responsibility of crafting a vibrant co-curricular learning environment for campus students. Through varied programming, the DSSE and staff create opportunities for students to hone leadership, project management, and teamwork skills. A variety of clubs afford students the chance to network with peers. Career counseling assists students in discovering a fulfilling vocation; personal counseling helps individuals explore reasoned alternatives to life's pressures. The campus nurse and personal counselor are committed to helping students stay physically and mentally healthy.
Director of Enrollment Management
The Director of Enrollment Management is responsible for campus admissions, financial aid, and student retention.
Director of Information Technology Services
The Director of Information Technology Services (ITS) ensures that students, faculty and staff have the information technology tools and infrastructure necessary to enhance learning, teaching, research, outreach, administration, and support activities at our campus.
Director of Continuing Education
The Director of Continuing Education is responsible for Penn State Wilkes-Barre Continuing Education, which serves Luzerne, Wyoming, Bradford and Sullivan counties by offering quality programming to support the workforce development needs of companies and the professional development needs of individuals. In addition, academic enrichment and athletic camps are offered for school-age youth.
Director of Development & Alumni Relations
The Director of Development & Alumni Relations is responsible for providing leadership, strategic direction, management and coordination for all campus fundraising efforts. The director plays a key role in identifying, cultivating, and soliciting major donors to ensure the campus’s programs and goals are realized. They also oversee alumni outreach and engagement.
Director of Strategic Communications
The Office of Strategic Communications develops and implements marketing strategies enhancing Penn State Wilkes-Barre’s commitment to a student-centered, educational environment. We carry out strategies to ensure that Penn State Wilkes-Barre’s image reflects our values of academic excellence, a student focus, ethics and integrity, community service, and inclusivity.
Director of Business Services
The Director of Business Services oversees capital planning, facilities, maintenance and operations, fleet operations, food services, bookstore, and risk management. The Director of Business Services manages employees who perform maintenance, renovations and direct services to campus buildings, infrastructure, grounds, and equipment.
Director of Finance
The Director of Finance works closely with the chancellor and directors at the Wilkes-Barre campus, providing financial and budgetary service while ensuring adherence to University policies and procedures. The Finance Office services student and parent inquiries in regard to their semester bills, traffic fines and delinquent accounts. The Finance Office oversees all requests for payment, purchase orders, employee reimbursements, and the direct billing from other University units.
Human Resources Representative
The Human Resources Representative provides Human Resources services to the campus and processes regular and student wage payroll.
