Penn State Wilkes-Barre is a close-knit campus community, rich with culture, diversity, and opportunities to get involved no matter where you choose to live. Whether you live at home or opt to rent off-campus housing, you will feel connected and part of the Penn State family.
Commuter Living
Many students find living at home to be an advantage during some or all of their college career. Saving money is one of the biggest reasons students choose to commute to campus; others just like the support and convenience they find in living at home. There is plenty of parking on campus for commuter students and spaces to study or get together with friends before and after classes.
Off-Campus Housing
Other students prefer a college experience away from home and convenient to campus. Those students can choose from a wide variety of privately owned off-campus housing options available in the area, ranging from room rentals to student apartments to more traditional apartment complexes and rental houses.
Penn State Wilkes-Barre does not endorse any housing option over another (please see the disclaimer below), but we can help connect you with many of the off-campus housing opportunities available near campus.
Nearby Apartment Complexes
