Welcome to the Penn State Wilkes-Barre Learning Center! Check out our free academic support services for all students enrolled at the Wilkes-Barre campus. Located in Room 102 in the Murphy Student Services Center, we are open from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Peer Tutoring
Having difficulty understanding material for a course? Meet with a peer tutor for an hour once a week. Peer tutors are your friendly and welcoming classmates who are more than happy to help out.
To request a peer tutor for one or more of your classes, fill out the Tutor Request Form. Within a few days of submitting the form, you will receive an email from Auraleah Grega, Learning Support Coordinator, with your tutor information and meeting time.
Math Tutoring with Professional Staff
Drop by or schedule an appointment with Staff Math Tutor Janis Winter, for help with math-related courses. Janis is available from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, in the Learning Center.
Study Space
Students are also welcome to use the Learning Center as a space to study. Use our computers or bring your own laptop. Bring a friend or classmate!

This interactive workshop presents research-based evidence that metacognition (awareness of how you learn and the predictable effects of the related choices you make) can help you successfully transition to the demands of college-level courses.
