On the road at Beaver, Wilkes-Barre dropped both games with scores of 7-3 and 6-1. In game one, Nicholas Myers was up at bat five times and scored all three runs for the Mountain Lions. Tyler Weiss had the only RBI on the day. Penn State will travel to Penn College for another double header on Wednesday, April 9th at 2:00 and 4:30 p.m.
The Mountain Lions return nine players from last season's baseball team. All of these men will be looked at for their talent and dedication on and off the field. Junior Mike Tierney was named Academic All American in the PSUAC and USCAA. Sophomore Kerry Meyers, Second Team All Conference, will hold down the infield with his golden glove with a .898 field percentage and leading the team with a batting average of .358 last season.
Saturday, April 12th through Wednesday, April 16th, two Penn State Wilkes-Barre students will be traveling to San Diego, California, where the National Society of Professional Surveyors will be hosting a California Land Surveyors Association and Nevada Association of Land Surveyors conference.

The Executive Management Series is held at The Convention Center in Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs Hotel in Wilkes-Barre, beginning at 7:45 a.m.
Building on his mission to "Dominate The State," Penn State football coach James Franklin and several head coaches will embark on the Penn State Coaches Caravan tour this spring, with stops in 17 locales. Thirteen of the 17 events will take place in Pennsylvania, including four on Penn State campuses, with additional stops in Baltimore, New Jersey, New York City and Washington, D.C.
Senior Keith Johnson and Junior Denzel Mensah were named USCAA Men's Basketball All-American Honorable Mention. Johnson led Penn State Wilkes-Barre in scoring this season with a 15.9 points-per-game average. He also led the team in assists (3.5 apg). Johnson finished his career at Wilkes-Barre with over 1,000 points. Mensah averaged 11.8 points per game for the season, which ranked second on the team.
Senior Tiaira Brathwaite was named PSUAC Women's Basketball All-Conference Honorable Mention. Brathwaite averaged a double-double on the season for Wilkes-Barre, with 11 points per game and 10.6 rebounds per game. Her 10.6 rebounds ranked her fifth in the PSUAC. Brathwaite finished her career at Wilkes-Barre with over 1,000 points. Congratulations, Tiaira!
