The Penn State Wilkes-Barre golf team finished fifth in their second match of the 2014 season. Seven teams competed in the Penn State DuBois Invitational, with Wilkes-Barre shooting a 393. The Mountain Lions were led by Jeff Carter, with a score of 83. The team will travel to a match hosted by Penn State Schuylkill on Friday, September 19.
The Penn State Wilkes-Barre soccer team played its first road game of the season on Friday night, losing 9-1 at PSU Brandywine. Eric Whited scored the lone goal for WB. The Mountain Lions (0-1 PSUAC, 0-2 overall) will next travel to Penn State Worthington Scranton on Wednesday to face its northeast PA rival. The game will be played at Marywood University on September 10th at 4pm.

On Tuesday, October 28th, Penn State Wilkes-Barre will offer a Psychological and Emotional Trauma Course at both the Penn State Wilkes-Barre Campus in Lehman as well as the Penn State Northern Tier in Towanda. The one-day course, will run from 8:30 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. and has a $69 registration fee.
The Penn State Wilkes-Barre Soccer team opened their 2014 season at home against Davis College on September 3rd. Wilkes-Barre was defeated 4-1, with Wilkes-Barre's lone goal being scored by Mark Bugelholl.

After four years at the Penn State Wilkes-Barre campus in the Information Technology Services department, Jeff Chiampi has accepted the position of Instructor in Computer Science. Jeff has a Bachelor of Science in Information, Sciences & Technology and a Master of Business Administration, both from Penn State.

For the next two years, a group of electrical engineering technology (EET) students at Penn State Wilkes-Barre will be testing a new 3D printer boundary when they print and launch a satellite into space.
The Bell Center for Technology had a busy summer, receiving all new furniture in the lobby and student seating areas as well as a complete renovation of one of its prominent classrooms.
The student seating upgrades include new tables and chairs outside the Fortinsky Auditorium along with three pieces of lounge furniture and a table with electrical outlets for laptops. Downstairs, several tables, chairs and couches were replaced outside the T-14 classroom.
