The Penn State Hazleton library is sponsoring sessions on financial literacy for students, community members and employees on April 26. Two sessions are scheduled for employees and students of the Hazleton, Schuylkill, Wilkes-Barre and Worthington Scranton campuses.
On April 7, Penn State Wilkes-Barre hosted the Forum on Black Affairs, an organization whose goal is to partner with the University to encourage racial diversity, and specifically to create a climate conducive for black faculty and staff to thrive on each Penn State campus.
"Therapy, Themes, & Theories of Psychology," an art gallery exhibit prepared in collaboration with on-campus clinicians, will be on display in the Friedman Art Gallery at Penn State Wilkes-Barre through the end of April. The exhibition is free and open to the public.

Each year, Penn State recognizes outstanding faculty and staff with annual awards in teaching and excellence. The faculty and staff awards ceremony is Wednesday, April 19.
Six Penn State faculty members -- John Beale, senior lecturer of journalism in the College of Communications; Theresa Clemente, instructor of business at Penn State Wilkes-Barre; Brian Crosby, lecturer of psychology in the College of the Liberal Arts; James Lyon, professor of music in the College of Arts and Architecture; Denise Ogden, professor marketing at Penn State Lehigh Valley; and JoAnne Pumariega, instructor of mathematics and Spanish at Penn State Berks -- have received the 2017 George W. Atherton Award for Excellence in Teaching.

The Nittany Lion wrestling team left no doubt to its dominance, rolling to a perfect 5-0 record in the 2017 NCAA Championship finals. The stunning run capped off Penn State's team title performance in St. Louis' Scottrade Center. Penn State, under the guidance of head coach Cael Sanderson, claimed its sixth NCAA team title in the last seven years, its second straight and its seventh overall.
The Penn State men's hockey team captured its first Big Ten tournament championship on March 18, defeating Wisconsin in a double-overtime thriller 2-1.
