To be approved for graduation, students must notify the university of their intent to graduate at the beginning of the semester in which they anticipate completing their degree requirements. This can be done by using the “Apply for Graduation” link within the My Academics page in the LionPATH Student Center.
Graduation announcements will be mailed to all graduates. Penn State Wilkes‑Barre typically holds commencement ceremonies once a year on the first Saturday in May after final exams are complete. Students who will graduate in the summer or who graduated in the previous fall semester are also invited to participate in the May ceremony. Diplomas are mailed directly to the students’ homes following the ceremony.
