On April 27, Penn State Wilkes-Barre celebrated the Leadership and Athletics Awards Ceremony presented by the Penn State Wilkes-Barre Student Government Association. During this ceremony, annual campus awards are presented in addition to the ceremonial passing of the gavel between the outgoing and incoming SGA president.
Amanda-Claudia Scott, corporate communication student, has been honored by the Luzerne County Council on Adult Higher Education as the Penn State Wilkes-Barre 2017 Outstanding Adult Learner recipient.
Penn State Wilkes-Barre has received a Pennsylvania State University Engineering Technology and Commonwealth Engineering (ETCE) Program Enhancement Grant (PEG).
The Certified Recovery Specialist program will be held at the Penn State Wilkes-Barre Northern Tier Center in Towanda from 5-8 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays from June 6 through Aug. 3. The 54-hour Certified Recovery Specialist is a peer support position formally recognized by the Pennsylvania Certification Board.
