Scott Seroskie graduated in 2009 from Penn State Wilkes-Barre with a degree in Electrical Engineering Technology. After working for Virginia Power Company, his adventures have taken him recently to the exotic location of Tomasina, Madagascar. There, Scott is working as Control Operations Engineer in a lime plant.
While a student at Penn State Wilkes-Barre, Scott was an active member of several campus groups and organizations including SGA and he also worked as a peer tutor for EET courses.
On Sunday, August 28, more than 120 artisans, crafters, musicians, and food vendors will converge on the Penn State Wilkes-Barre campus in Lehman for the 27th Annual Arts at Hayfield Summer Festival from 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., rain or shine, on the campus grounds. Featuring a new performing group, the Daisy Jug Band, local and regional performers will take the stage starting at 11:30 a.m.
On Friday, July 15, 2011, the Penn State Wilkes-Barre Alumni Constituent Society hosted its 16th Annual "Masters" Golf Tournament at Blue Ridge Trail Golf Club in Mountaintop, Pa. The tournament raised more than $8000, topping last year's tournament total by more than $1200. The proceeds from the tournament benefit the Penn State Wilkes-Barre Alumni Society's Scholarship Fund, the Student Mentor Program, Academic Excellence Awards, and other initiatives which help the students of Penn State Wilkes-Barre.

Members of the Penn State Wilkes-Barre IST Club and Honors Program recently collected donations from campus and community members to donate to Give2TheTroops, an organization dedicated to sending cards and care packages to service members deployed overseas.
On Saturday, May 14 Penn State Wilkes-Barre honored 103 of Penn State University's best and brightest during a commencement ceremony which took place in the campus Athletic and Recreation Building. Thirteen students earned their associate degrees and 90 received baccalaureate degrees:

Penn State Wilkes-Barre's Student Support Services recently held its Annual Year End Celebration for its students at AppleTree Terrace, Newberry Estates in Dallas.
The students were treated to a night of great food, fun, and friendship with their fellow students, faculty, and staff, honoring the continuing students, transfer students, peer mentors, work study students, and spring graduates.
