The Mountain Lions had two very close but losing games on Wednesday afternoon at Penn College. In game one they fell 5-4 in 7 innings. LF Lance Sherry, CF Richard Portugal, 3B Tyler Weiss and SS Jeffrey Carter all had one hit on the day, and 2B Kerry Meyers had two. Sherry, Portugal, Carter and RF Alec Parchinski scored the four runs of the day. In game two the team lost 3-1, where first basemen Devon Mazonkey scored on the only run of the game. Shortstop Jeffrey Carter got the recorded RBI on the run. Wilkes-Barre will play next when they host Penn State Mont Alto on Saturday afternoon, April 12th, at 2:00 and 4:30 p.m.
