Volleyball Falls to Penn College Again

The Penn State Wilkes-Barre (0-5 PSUAC, 0-7 overall) volleyball team fell at Penn College (5-0 PSUAC, 9-5 overall) on Tuesday night in three straight sets.  The team lost 25-6, 25-4, and 25-4. 

Wilkes-Barre Golf Finishes Fourth at Hazleton Invitational

The Penn State Wilkes-Barre golf team placed fourth out of eight teams at the Hazleton Invitational on Monday morning. Junior Matt Boozer shot an 85 (tied for third) to lead the way for Wilkes-Barre. Sophomore Jeff Heath shot a 90, finishing tied for seventh, while freshman Will Fulton finished tied for ninth with a score of 92. Wilkes-Barre will be back in action this Sunday, October 7th as they compete for the PSUAC/USCAA Championships in State College, Pennsylvania.

Wilkes-Barre Volleyball Couldn't Get First Win Against Hazleton

The Penn State Wilkes-Barre (0-6) volleyball team fell to Penn State Hazleton Friday evening by scores of 25-20, 25-13, and 25-4. Sophomore Sarah Konopki led the way with a team-high seven digs while senior Abby Collins added five digs respectively. Wilkes-Barre will be back in action on Tuesday as they travel to Penn College for a conference match beginning at 7p.m.

Penn State Alumni Work Together For PSU Hockey

On the weekend of October 12, 2012 the Penn State Nittany Lion hockey team will be making history by playing their first weekend of Division I intercollegiate hockey with two games against American International University. The second of their two weekend games will be on Saturday, October 13, 2012, at Wilkes-Barre's Mohegan Sun Arena at Casey Plaza. Face-Off will be at 7:05p.m. in what is expected to be a sea of Blue & White!

Golf Team Finishes Third at Brandywine

The Wilkes-Barre golf team placed third out of eight teams at the Brandywine Invitational on Tuesday morning. Leading the way for Wilkes-Barre was junior Matt Boozer, who finished tied for second with a score of 80. Sophomore Jeff Heath scored 86, finishing tied for sixth. Senior Mark Wasickanin scored 88, finishing tied for eighth, and freshman Will Fulton finished tied for 12th with a score of 92. Wilkes-Barre will be idle until Monday, October 1st when they will travel to Penn State Hazleton for an 11 a.m. match.

Soccer Loses Close Game at Hazleton

The Penn State Wilkes-Barre soccer team lost to Penn State Hazleton 0-1 on Tuesday night.  Wilkes-Barre fell to 1-5 on the season.  The Mountain Lions travel to Penn State Beaver next Saturday, October 6th for a 2 p.m. matchup. 

Wilkes-Barre Soccer Falls to New Kensington

The Penn State Wilkes-Barre (1-4) soccer team came up short in their Saturday afternoon game against Penn State New Kensington by a score of 2-1. Penn State New Kensington struck first, scoring nine minutes into the game. About one minute later freshman David Cavalieri kept up his recent scoring rampage with a goal on a ball from sophomore Mark Bugelholl. In the second half, New Kensington got another goal during the 51st minute to end all scoring for the game.

12th Annual Engineering Open House Announced

On Thursday, October 4th, Penn State Wilkes-Barre's engineering department will welcome high school students onto the Lehman campus for its 12th annual Engineering Open House. The Engineering Open House provides students who have an interest in an engineering field an opportunity to not only to hear what Penn State Wilkes-Barre has to offer but actually see what they can do with an engineering degree.

Wilkes-Barre Soccer Gets First Win of the Season

The Penn State Wilkes-Barre (1-3) soccer team came up with its first win of the season in dominating fashion over Penn State Schuylkill Wednesday afternoon. Wilkes-Barre scored five first-half goals and added two more in the second half for a final score of 7-1. Freshman David Cavalieri had an impressive game, scoring three goals in the first ten minutes of the game and another one in the second half to finish with four goals total. Rob Hadvance set up Cavalieri for two of three assists and also had an assist to senior Sen Lin in the 30th minute.

Wilkes-Barre Volleyball Gets Swept by Penn College

The Penn State Wilkes-Barre (0-5) volleyball team dropped a conference match to Penn College by scores of 25-7, 25-7, and 25-8. Senior Abby Collins led Wilkes-Barre with five digs and sophomore Malika Mathis had a team-best two blocks. Wilkes-Barre will look to get back on track next Friday when they take on Penn State Hazelton for a conference match at 7 p.m.
