DALLAS, Pa. — Penn State Wilkes-Barre is hosting an open house for prospective students and their families from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Oct. 19.
Penn State Day begins with registration at 9 a.m. Those attending will learn more about the bachelor’s and associate degree programs that can be completed at Penn State Wilkes-Barre, as well as the more than 275 Penn State majors that can be started at Wilkes-Barre and completed at University Park or another campus as part of the 2+2 Plan. They also will hear about how 91% of students at Penn State Wilkes-Barre receive financial assistance, including scholarships. Details will be provided on intercollegiate athletics, clubs and activities, the campus honors program and more.
“During this event, prospective students will learn about the offerings specific to Penn State Wilkes-Barre and tour our beautiful campus,” said Alex Ellsworth, interim director of enrollment management. “Students and their families will also be able to get a sense of the opportunities that are available at other Penn State campuses. Penn State has a strong footprint across Pennsylvania, including our unique campuses with various two- and four-year degree programs. The University also has hundreds of thousands of living alumni worldwide.”
Lunch and complete campus tours will be provided. Those who attend the open house will have their application fee waived. Register for the open house or learn more online.
