While Penn State’s plans for fall 2020 are still under consideration, the task groups working on returning students and employees to campus are planning to meet or exceed the expectations for colleges and universities announced June 3 by the Pennsylvania Department of Education.
Students planning to attend Penn State Wilkes-Barre this fall can get a jump on their education and begin earning credits through Summer Start, offered virtually this summer.
Penn State Wilkes-Barre held its annual Student Government Association Leadership and Athletic Awards on May 7. The awards honor students who show exceptional leadership both inside and outside the classroom through their participation in athletics, clubs and organizations, community service events and leadership programs.
Penn State Wilkes-Barre celebrated its graduates with an online event that included messages from Chancellor Dr. Dale Jones, Associate Chief Academic Officer and Associate Professor of English Lynda Goldstein, valedictorian Jesse Steltz, Advisory Board Chair Rebecca Bartuska and Penn State Wilkes-Barre Alumni Society President Jonathan Sinclair. It also featured video congratulations from Penn State Wilkes-Barre faculty and staff.
