Supervision essentials training offered via Zoom technology

Penn State Wilkes-Barre Continuing Education will be offering Supervision Essentials Training in the fall of 2018 online via Zoom technology.

Employee retention and engagement are key to successful companies. This program, developed by a faculty team with both academic and managerial experience, is designed for first level supervisors, managers new to supervising others, and/or individuals likely to move into a supervision role.

The course is offered in four, one-half day modules (12-16 contact hours) which include: meeting supervisory responsibilities, communicating effectively, building work relationships, and leading others.

Class will be held from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday Oct. 9, Thursday Oct. 11, Tuesday Oct. 16, and Thursday Oct. 18. The cost is $745 per person, which includes all materials for the course. If three or more participants from one organization register at the same time, the cost will be $695 per person.

All classes will be delivered online using Zoom technology, which combines a cloud-based video conferencing, simple online meetings, group messaging, and a software defined conference room solution into one easy to use platform. Zoom allows the convenience of participating from home or office without the need to travel to an in-person class.
