LEHMAN, Pa. — Penn State Wilkes-Barre Continuing Education has announced the opening of the course Supervision Essentials for the fall 2017 semester.
Supervision Essentials is designed for newly appointed supervisors, those aspiring to supervisory roles, and those in supervisory roles who do not have formal training. This highly interactive program will include exercises and self-assessments. One outcome is the development of an individual action plan for effective supervision. The learning objectives for this course include: meeting supervisory responsibilities, communicating effectively, building work relationships, and leading others.
Supervision Essentials is being offered as a three-week course. The class schedule is as follows: 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 20 (lunch on own); 1 to 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 4; and 1 to 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 18. The cost is $745 per person and includes program materials. A special price of $695 per person will apply when three or more participants register from the same organization at the same time.
