Men's Basketball Loses a Close Battle with Penn State DuBois

Penn State Wilkes-Barre men's basketball team lost last Saturday, despite getting off to a quick start. Penn State Wilkes-Barre got off to a 23-7 lead 7 minutes into the game with some hot shooting. However, by halftime Penn State DuBois cut the deficit to 9. To start the second half, Penn State DuBois went on a 17-7 scoring run of their own.

Penn State Wilkes-Barre Women's Basketball Team Loses Another Close Game

The Penn State Wilkes-Barre women's basketball team (3-9 overall and 1-6 PSUAC) lost a close game against Penn State DuBois, despite Katie Beach's 19 points. The Mountain Lions trailed by 10 at halftime and looked to fight their way back into the game. However, Penn State DuBois put the game away with their 52% free-throw shooting. Tiaira Brathwaite had an outstanding game for the Mountain Lions with 21 rebounds and 17 points. Penn State Wilkes-Barre looks to bounce back Monday against Penn State Worthington Scranton.

Men's Basketball Defeats SUNY ESF at Home

The Penn State Wilkes-Barre men's basketball team advanced to 4-10 (3-4 PSUAC) after a victory at home over SUNY ESF. The matchup was very close until the final minutes of the second half. Travis Dunlap had a team high of 15 points for Penn State Wilkes-Barre while shooting 3 for 6 from the three-point line. Danny MacElrath led the charge for SUNY ESF with 16 points for a game high. After the first half, PSU Wilkes-Barre only led by 5 points; however due to nine three-point shots made they were able to hold off SUNY ESF in the closing minutes.

Penn State Wilkes-Barre Names Fall 2012 Dean's List

To be eligible for Dean's List, undergraduate students must achieve a one-semester grade point average of at least 3.5. Men's Basketball Loses Close Battle with NCAA III Wilkes

The Penn State Wilkes-Barre men's basketball team (3-10 overall, 3-4 PSUAC) kept it close the whole game, but fell just short of upsetting Wilkes University on Sunday. The final score was 53-64 in Wilkes-Barre's fifth game against an NCAA opponent this season. Jacob Bronder led the Mountain Lions with 19 points and 10 rebounds. Travis Dunlap followed up with 13 points. Penn State Wilkes-Barre will next host SUNY-ESF on Thursday afternoon at 5:45pm.

The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins present Penn State Wilkes-Barre Athletics Night, Friday, April 19th at 7:05pm.  In addition to admission into the game, each person will receive a penguins hat, water bottle, hot dog, chips, and beverage!  A portion from each ticket sold will be donated back to benefit Penn State Wilkes-Barre athletics. Men's Basketball Falls to Worthington-Scranton

The Penn State Wilkes-Barre men's basketball team lost at Penn State Worthington-Scranton tonight by a score of 73-93. Wilkes-Barre was led by Jacob Bronder with 17 points. Wilkes-Barre will head into the break with a 3-4 record in the PSUAC and 3-9 overall. The Mountain Lions will next play again on Sunday, January 6th at home vs. their fifth NCAA Division III opponent of the year, Wilkes University at 2pm.

Women's Basketball Loses Close Battle At Worthington-Scranton

The Penn State Wilkes-Barre women's basketball team lost a close game at Penn State Worthington-Scranton tonight by a score of 72-76. Wilkes-Barre was led by five players scoring in double-figures. Freshman Jalicia Robinson led the group with 19 points, followed by sophomore Nicole Maslowski with 16. Wilkes-Barre will head into the break with a 1-5 record in the PSUAC and 3-8 overall. The Mountain Lions will next play on Saturday, January 12th at Penn State DuBois.
