Summer Film & Discussion Series Announced

Penn State Wilkes-Barre in association with the Dietrich Theater proudly present this five-week series that will delight every member of your family as we look and listen critically to the music that has accompanied some of America's best-loved films. Penn State Wilkes-Barre is partnering The Dietrich Theater to host a film and discussion series exploring Music…The Magic in Film: 1776, Wall-E, Out of Africa, To Kill A Mockingbird, and Star Wars.

Penn State Wilkes-Barre Baseball Falls at Penn State Schuylkill

The Penn State Wilkes-Barre baseball team lost both of their away games at Penn State Schuylkill on April 1st. In the first of the two games, Wilkes-Barre fell 9-6. Wilkes-Barre scored all six of their runs in the sixth and seventh innings. Alex Klinger and Richard Portugal each had two runs, while Francis Brodi III and Eric Gurzynski each scored a run.

Modern Concept of Trauma Course Offered

On Tuesday, April 28th, Penn State Wilkes-Barre will offer a Modern Concepts of Trauma Course at both the Penn State Wilkes-Barre Campus in Lehman as well as the Penn State Northern Tier in Towanda. The one-day course, will run from 8:30 a.m.-11:00 a.m. and has a $69 registration fee. Registration deadline will be April 21, 2015.

Executive Management Series Presents: NEPA's Major Federal Facilities

On Wednesday, April 29, join Dr. Charles Davis & the Penn State Wilkes-Barre Continuing Education department for their Executive Management Series. The Executive Management Series is held at The Best Western Genetti Hotel and Conference Center, in Wilkes-Barre. Beginning at 7:45am until 9:30am-breakfast will be served.

Coaches Caravan Public Registration Underway

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - Building on the success of his vision to "Dominate The State," Penn State head football coach James Franklin and several other head coaches will embark on the Penn State Coaches Caravan tour this spring, with stops in 12 Nittany Nation strongholds from May 5-7 and 19-21. Eight of the events will take place in Pennsylvania, with additional stops in Baltimore, New York City, Washington, D.C. and New Jersey.

The Marketing Communications Department on campus sat down for a Q & A with Maureen Ciliberto, the new Career Services Coordinator. We wanted to know more about Maureen but also how career services can be beneficial to the students on our campus at any point in their education. Career Services is open Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Gallery Opening For Chala Janpraphasakul Planned

Artist Chala Janpraphasaku will be displaying her work at Penn State Wilkes-Barre's Friedman Art Gallery beginning April 17th and running through May 13th. A reception is planned for the evening of April 17th. Chala was born and raised in Thailand until 1998. After graduating from Hunter College, New York in 2004 with a computer science degree, she came to Scranton, PA, and has worked as a software developer ever since.
