Due to the generosity of alumni and friends of Penn State Wilkes-Barre, we award over 160 scholarships to our students. Approximately 70% of these young men and women are the first generation to attend college, 75% of whom receive some sort of financial aid. Help pave the way for deserving students to attend Penn State Wilkes-Barre!
Unrestricted scholarship funds are secured every year via our Annual Fund for Academic Excellence; this pool of scholarship funds provides support to the largest number of students needing assistance.
Generous contributors to our scholarship fund: you are making an investment in each and every one of us… We wouldn't have the chance to study and become scholars, we wouldn't have the chance to become well-rounded individuals… We are grateful to you for taking the risk, and investing in our futures.

Many in this area couldn’t afford to attend college without the help given to them in the form of a scholarship. A scholarship doesn’t go to waste. The recipients of scholarships that I saw in class were the ones working hard, applying themselves, getting the good grades.
