Sustainability Showcase Series
Fridays: 12:00–1:30 p.m.
The Sustainability Showcases are weekly discussions highlighting the interdisciplinary nature of sustainability by creating a platform for stakeholders to engage with one another. The series connects faculty research, personal and professional interest, and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals while broadening the sustainability discourse. Speakers are invited to give a thirty-minute talk, answer questions and hang around to mingle with attendees.
Intersections Virtual Film Series
A sustainable world is one of intersections—between sustainable development goals like gender equity and climate change and fields that approach these issues from different directions, from engineering to sociology to visual arts. In 2021-2022, Penn State’s Sustainability Institute is offering three free series of films that invite us to engage at these intersections of sustainability. In addition, we feature post-film discussions/panels, sharing Penn State and community expertise and leaving attendees with tangible action steps/ways to get involved after each screening.
