Five Penn State Wilkes-Barre students received scholarships from the Irene Thomas Memorial Scholarship fund, sponsored by Arts at Hayfield, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting community arts.
More than 50 African artifacts, including masks, jewelry, robes, statues, drums and fetishes will be on display in the Penn State Wilkes-Barre Friedman Art Gallery from Sept. 24 to Nov. 29.
