Adults and professionals interested in taking classes to enhance their careers or learn something new have several choices this fall at Penn State Wilkes-Barre. Starting Friday, September 26 through October 24, 2008, a training program entitled "Supervisory Essentials - Level 1," will be offered through Penn State Wilkes-Barre's Continuing Education department.
The course is designed for new professionals who wish to keep their supervisory skills up to date, and at the same time be one step ahead of the demands from the workplace. Students who enroll in the class will gain valuable insight on the latest communication and leadership techniques, as well as information on employee relations. The four-week session will cover topics like: Supervisory Roles and Responsibilities, Performance Management, and Managing Time and Priorities. This program is unique, because it provides students with the tools necessary to become effective supervisors.
Sign-up cost for the program is $645.00 with a discount available for multiple students who enroll from the same company. Classes will be held at the Northeastern Pennsylvania Alliance building located in Pittston.
