The Scholarly Lecture Series presents

"Adaptive Technologies for Africa"
speaker: Dr. Willie Ofosu, Associate Professor of Engineering

Wednesday, February 4th, 2009
12:05-1:00pm in Science Room 101
A light lunch (pizza and drinks) will be served.

Globalization has taken on a characteristic that emphasizes that no continent, no nation, can be left behind as the world advances in technological development. This requires that the technology gap between developed and developing nations has to be bridged. This forms the basis for Dr. Ofosu's work with two universities in Ghana: the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) and the University of Cape Coast (UCC).

Sponsored by the Office of Director of Academic Affairs and the
Scholarly Activities Committee of Penn State Wilkes-Barre
