With Marcellus shale becoming an increasingly prominent topic, Penn State Wilkes-Barre and Penn State Cooperative Extension are working together to host a Marcellus shale seminar for realtors. Participating sponsors include Chesapeake Energy and Century 21. The seminar is scheduled for Thursday, March 18 at 6 p.m. in Penn State Wilkes-Barre's Bell Center for Technology, Lehman, Pa.
The seminar will review such topics as Marcellus shale geology, natural gas development, environmental concerns, economic impacts, legal implications of Marcellus leasing and gas development, and impacts on housing and real estate.
Following each presentation there will be a question and answer portion for participants to engage the presenters on a variety of Marcellus shale and natural gas development topics.
