Continuing Education Announces Fall Film & Discussion Series

The Department of Continuing Education at Penn State Wilkes-Barre proudly announces the fall personal enrichment film & discussion series schedule. Penn State Wilkes-Barre has partnered with R/C Wilkes-Barre Movies 14 to host a film and discussion series celebrating five decades of thrillers: The Sixth Sense, The Exorcist, Rosemary's Baby, The Changeling, and The Ghost & Mrs. Muir. This year all film screenings will be held at R/C Wilkes-Barre Movies 14 in Downtown Wilkes-Barre on Thursday evenings at 7pm beginning October 6th and running through November 3rd.  Pre-film lecture notes and thought-stimulating post-film discussion will accompany each screening in the series.

Continuing Education is pleased to welcome back Bill Bachman as the instructor for the fall movie series. Bill has taught a variety of communications course offerings on the Wilkes-Barre campus since 1986.  He currently teaches basic public speaking, public speech writing, mass media and society, propaganda and persuasion and media effects.  The film series started as a 1-credit academic course at Penn State Wilkes-Barre by Bachman 9 years ago.

Penn State Wilkes-Barre Continuing Education is part of Penn State Outreach, the largest unified outreach organization in American higher education, serving more than 5 million people each year, delivering more than 2,000 programs to people in all 67 Pennsylvania counties, all 50 states and 80 countries worldwide.
