Women's Basketball Blows by Brandywine to Win PSUAC Home Opener

The Penn State Wilkes-Barre (2-6, 1-2) women's basketball team beat Penn State Brandywine 63-49 to improve to 1-2 in the PSUAC Conference.  Wilkes-Barre was led by sophomore guard Michele Vowler with 22 points and 7 rebounds.  Junior Katie Beach also had a big game with 14 points and 11 rebounds.  Wilkes-Barre put together a great overall effort, including out-rebounding Brandywine 43-29.  Wilkes-Barre will next play at PSUAC rival Penn State Hazleton on Friday night before turning around to play Delaware Valley College at home on Saturday afternoon at 1:00 pm.
