Penn State Wilkes-Barre Names Director of Academic Affairs

Chancellor Dr. Charles Davis is proud to announce Dr. Albert Lozano-Nieto has accepted the Director of Academic Affairs position at Penn State Wilkes-Barre.

"As a campus, we are extremely pleased to have someone of Dr. Lozano's stature not only as a faculty member but now as a campus leader," says Davis. "Albert is a very accomplished academic - both in the classroom and through his research. He is a focused on the success of our students and I am confident in his ability to move our campus programs forward."

Dr. Albert Lozano-Nieto, a Professor of Engineering for 15 years at Penn State Wilkes-Barre, is equally excited about his new opportunity.

"The role of a Director of Academic Affairs is an extremely important one on any campus and I am very humbled to be chosen to lead the Penn State Wilkes-Barre Academic Affairs office," explains Lozano. "Our campus has a very bright future ahead of it and I'm very enthusiastic about the new role I will be playing in that future."

Born and raised in Barcelona, Spain, Dr. Lozano received his academic degrees from Polytechnic University of Catalonia. He and his wife are proud parents to two Penn State graduates.
