The Penn State Wilkes-Barre baseball team lost both games of a double-header against NCAA Division III Marywood University on Saturday afternoon. In the first game, Wilkes-Barre lost to Marywood 1-8 to fall to 0-2 on the season. Wilkes-Barre's pitcher, freshman Robert Vollmer (0-1), took his first loss of the season. Freshman Ryan Goodwin scored Wilkes-Barre's lone run with his first homerun of the season. In the second game, Wilkes-Barre lost to Marywood 4-12 to fall to an 0-3 record. Wilkes-Barre's pitcher senior Peter Kelly took the loss and is now 0-2 on the season. Junior Robert Bisson and freshman Robert Vollmer each had 2 RBIs for Wilkes-Barre. Wilkes-Barre next plays on the road in a double-header against PSUAC conference rival Penn State Fayette on Saturday, March 24th starting at 2:00 pm.
