The Penn State Wilkes-Barre baseball team split a double header with PSUAC rival Penn State Hazleton on Sunday afternoon. In the first game Wilkes-Barre fell short, losing 4-6 to Hazleton. Senior Pete Kelly and freshmen Zach Yursha, Robert Vollmer and Kyle Colarusso each had RBI's for Wilkes-Barre. Pitching for Wilkes-Barre, junior Matt Kempinski took the loss. With the loss, Wilkes-Barre fell to 3-7 overall and 3-3 in the PSUAC. In the second game, Wilkes-Barre battled back to defeat Hazleton 7-6. Yursha led Wilkes-Barre with two RBI's. Colarusso and sophomore Kyle LeValley each doubled for Wilkes-Barre, while freshman Ryan Goodwin tripled. Pitching for Wilkes-Barre, Kelly took the win. With the win, Wilkes-Barre is 4-7 overall and 4-3 in the PSUAC. Wilkes-Barre will next take the field at home on Monday, April 2nd in a double header against Penn State Beaver starting at noon.
