Penn State Wilkes-Barre Names New Head Baseball Coach

Jason McManus, a former student-athlete at Penn State Wilkes-Barre, begins his inaugural season as Head Baseball Coach at Penn State Wilkes-Barre.  Coach McManus was a member of the 1991 & 1992 CCAC Eastern Division Championship baseball teams at Penn State Wilkes-Barre, which also won the ECAC. 

Coach McManus began his coaching career at Riverside High School (Taylor, PA) in 2005, where he led the Junior High baseball team to a Lackawanna Scholastic Baseball League Championship the same year, and a Division 3 Championship in 2007.  In 2009, he was promoted to Head Baseball Coach for the Junior Varsity program.  His coaching experience expands beyond the high school level as he served as the Head Coach for Old Forge Jr. Legion baseball team in 2008, and the Senior Legion program from 2009-2011.  He led the Senior Legion team to a playoff appearance in 2010. 

Coach McManus is employed by RCN Corporation, where he is a Development and Quality Specialist.  He currently resides in Larksville, PA with his wife and two children.
