The Penn State Wilkes Barre (0-1) Women's Volleyball team didn't start off the season the way they anticipated. They dropped a non-conference match Wednesday night to Lackawanna College (1-0) in three sets with scores of 11-25, 16-25, and 15-25. Chelsea Wertz led the way for the Lions with eight service points and five assists. Sarah Konopki compiled three aces while Abby Collins and Tiffany Denny-Rochester both added five service points respectively. The Lions will be back in action next Thursday when they travel to Luzerne County Community College for a non-conference match up. The Lions will begin conference play on September 16 in a tri-match at home.
