Penn State Wilkes-Barre (0-2) fought a good battle against a top-notched Penn College team in their home opener. However, in the end they came up short in their 1-6 conference loss Wednesday afternoon. Things appeared to be going Penn College's way throughout the game, especially with the shutout they had going, until sophomore Mark Bugelholl notched a goal. With a little over ten minutes left in regulation freshman David Cavalieri found Bugelholl for a score to finally put the lions on the board. Freshman Chris Jaworski had a strong showing in goal for the Lions, making 13 saves despite allowing six goals. Penn State Wilkes-Barre will be back in action when traveling to Penn State Brandywine Saturday afternoon for a 1 p.m. match.
