Leandri Earns All-American Honors at National Championships

The Penn State Wilkes-Barre Cross Country team competed at the USCAA National Championships for the second consecutive year and the onlyntwo times in school history.  The women's race started the event off with 2011 and 2012 PSUAC Individual Women's Champion Alex Leandri and 2012 PSUAC All-Conference Team member Emily Pszeniczny competing.  Leandri made school history finishing second overall to earn Women's All-American honors with a time of 24:33 in the 6K race.  Pszeniczny finished 32nd out of the 169 runners competing in the women's race.

Once the women's race was complete, the men's race featured six Penn State Wilkes-Barre runners, including 2012 PSUAC Individual Champion Chris Monahan.  Monahan finished 27th overall out of the 182 runners competing in the men's race. Monahan had a time of 29:44 on the 8K course.

At the banquet on Thursday night, Lee Kozokas was recognized for his achievements in the classroom as he was named to the USCAA All-Academic Team.
