The Penn State Wilkes-Barre cross-country team had three runners medal in the first meet of the 2014 season.
In the women's meet, Becky Wychock finished second overall as well as second in the PSUAC, with a time of 22:37 in the 5k race. Ashley Oliver finished tenth overall and eighth in the PSUAC, with a time of 24:17. As a team, Wilkes-Barre finished third out of four teams.
In the men's meet, Kyle Borland finished twelfth overall and fifth in the PSUAC, with a time of 19:35 in the 5k. David Yunkinis finished thirteenth overall and sixth in the PSUAC, with a time of 19:47. As a team, Wilkes-Barre finished second overall out of six teams.
