Cross Country Competes at USCAA National Championships

The Penn State Wilkes-Barre men's and women's cross-country teams competed at the USCAA National Championships on Friday afternoon in Syracuse, NY. This was the fourth consecutive National Championship appearance by the Mountain Lions.

In the men's race, 186 runners competed. Kyle Borland finished in the top 100, finishing 91st overall. He had a time of 31:39 in the 8k race. As a team, Wilkes-Barre finished 19th out of 21 teams.

In the women's race, 178 runners competed. Becky Wychock finished in the top 100, finishing 71st overall. She had a time of 28:45 in the 6k race.

At the awards banquet the evening before, Ashley Oliver and David Yunkunis were recognized by being named to Academic All-American by the USCAA.
