Strike Out Cancer Bowl-A-THON To Be Held

On Saturday, December 6th, The Penn State Wilkes-Barre Benefitting THON Committee will be holding the first annual Strike Out Cancer Bowl-A-THON.

The Penn State IFC/Panhellenic Dance Marathon, affectionately known as THON, is the largest student run philanthropy in the world. THON, a yearlong effort to raise funds and awareness for the fight against pediatric cancer, has raised more than $114 million for the Four Diamonds Fund at Penn State Hershey Children's Hospital since 1977. THON 2015 will take place from February 20th - 22nd, 2015 at Penn State's Bryce Jordan Center.

In anticipation of THON 2015, Penn State Wilkes-Barre students are inviting the local community to celebrate THON. The Strike Out Cancer Bowl-A-THON will begin at 5:30 p.m. with bowling beginning at 6 p.m. at Chacko's Family Bowling Center in Wilkes-Barre.

For $25 per team member, teams of 4-5 get two hours of bowling, pizza, and soda to help Strike Out Cancer! Shoes rental will be included in the team member fees. Registrations received by November 28th will be guaranteed a Bowl-A-THON t-shirt. For more information and to register, visit wb.psu.edu/bowlathon.
