Women's Basketball Falls to Penn State Worthington Scranton

The Penn State Wilkes-Barre women's basketball team lost their home game to Penn State Worthington Scranton 57-51 on Friday night. The team started off strong, leading the entire first half and a majority of the second half. However, Scranton moved ahead with seven minutes left to play. Wilkes-Barre came roaring back with less than 50 seconds left in the second half when Katelyn McLaughlin shot a go-ahead three. Scranton then tied it up to push it into overtime. With some of the Lady Lion's key players in foul trouble, Scranton pulled ahead and won the contest. Wilkes-Barre was led by Breana Moore's 24 points and Katelyn McLaughlin's outstanding double-double. With the loss, the team drops to 5-9 and 2-6 in the PSUAC. The team plays Penn State Greater Allegheny at 8pm this Friday night at home.
