Beginning in September running through November, Penn State Wilkes-Barre's Continuing Education Department will be offering four Workforce Development Courses: Spanish in the Workplace, Public Speaking, Fundamentals of Project Management and Excellence in Customer Service.
Spanish in the Workplace is designed to facilitate basic communication with employees or clients whose native language is Spanish. Emphasis is placed on oral communication and specific vocabulary that targets business communication needs. Spanish in the Workplace runs Fridays from September 25th through October 16th from 9:00 a.m. to 12 Noon at the NEPA Alliance in Pittston and is $295 per person.
The three hour Public Speaking training program is designed for busy professionals who will benefit from a review of effective public speaking techniques which will allow them to represent themselves and their company more efficiently in both business and public settings. Public Speaking will be held October 20th from 9:00 a.m. to 12 Noon at Penn State Wilkes-Barre and is $95 per person.
Successfully managing a project requires effective planning and adherence to the industry's best practices in every step of the process. In Fundamentals of Project Management, you will learn to be better prepared to initiate a project in your organization and position it for success. In this training program, you will identify effective project management practices and their related processes. Fundamentals of Project Management will be held October 23rd from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Penn State Wilkes-Barre and is $295 per person.
Excellence in Customer Service teaches key outcomes and behaviors to distinguish your organization's customer service including strategies for flawless customer service, customer styles, and the dangers of customer alienation. Best practices in customer relationship management are highlighted. Excellence in Customer Service will be held November 12th from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the NEPA Alliance in Pittston and is $225 per person.
