Prospective students and their families are invited to Penn State Wilkes-Barre’s spring open house at the campus on Saturday, April 15, from 10 a.m. to noon.

The event will include:

  • An overview of the admissions process, academics, financial aid, the honors program, housing options, engagement opportunities and more
  • Tours from Penn State Wilkes-Barre’s Lion Ambassadors
  • One-on-one opportunities to speak with the admissions team and other members of the campus community

Penn State Wilkes-Barre offers several bachelor’s and associate degree programs that can be completed at the campus, including the only four-year ABET-accredited surveying engineering program in Pennsylvania. Through the 2+2 Plan, students can spend their first two years at Penn State Wilkes-Barre and finish one of Penn State’s more than 275 degree programs at another Penn State campus, like University Park.

“This is an excellent opportunity for high school juniors, seniors and those interested in transferring to learn about Penn State Wilkes-Barre, the options and opportunities available to them here,” said Janine Becker, director of enrollment management. “Last year, we awarded over $1 million in scholarships to our students. You can get an affordable, world-class degree close to home or take part in the 2+2 Plan, of which over 30% of current students take advantage. The choice is yours.”

The Penn State application fee will be waived for all open house attendees.

Those interested in attending should register online. If unable to attend, prospective students and their families can schedule a one-on-one visit and campus tour by contacting the Admissions Office at 570-675-9238 or [email protected].
