LEHMAN, Pa. — Penn State Wilkes-Barre is putting the “her” in “history” this March by hosting several events in honor of Women’s HERstory Month. All events will be held virtually and are open to students, faculty and staff.

“Providing a variety of events during Women's HerStory month gives students the opportunity to learn more about both the influence and struggles of women throughout history and even today,” said Jacqueline Warnick-Piatt, student activities coordinator. “We are also offering some fun events and leadership workshops, such as Famous Women Kahoot and our Lessons on Leadership: Servant Leadership. All these events are geared at providing our students opportunities to learn outside the classroom, but also to take back to the classroom some critical thinking and leadership skills. I hope students will be able to use the information they gain to think outside the box and create better communities for themselves and others."
