Give to Penn State Wilkes-Barre

The Penn State Wilkes-Barre community is comprised of an engaged student body, dedicated faculty and staff, and a group of caring and supportive alumni and friends. Each gift to the campus supports our students and the campus mission to educate, inspire, and empower our community. 85% of Penn State Wilkes-Barre students qualify for need-based financial aid, and the average unmet annual need is $11,000 per student. About half of our students are the first generation in their families to attend college, and the average debt per graduating students is $32,000.

John Krohn

Alumni Spotlight

Penn State alumnus John Krohn has interned for a U.S. senator, served in the military in Iraq, worked to implement protection around energy infrastructure in Ukraine, and climbed Mount Kilimanjaro. Today, he is the deputy chief of staff for the U.S. Department of Energy’s Office of Nuclear Energy. But before any of those life experiences, Krohn was a student at Penn State Wilkes-Barre.
