With COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations on the rise in Pennsylvania and across the nation, Penn State is urging its community to continue to take health precautions and follow guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to keep themselves and others healthy.
Penn State Wilkes-Barre has named Iris Ouellette as lecturer in English and Nicholas Truncale as lecturer in mathematics, announced Chancellor and Chief Academic Officer Lynda Goldstein. Both faculty members began teaching at the campus with the start of the fall semester.

The University College at Penn State is the collective administrative umbrella for 14 of Penn State's campuses distributed throughout the commonwealth. Penn State Wilkes-Barre has appointed a head baseball coach for the 2023-24 season — and he is no stranger to the campus. A former student-athlete at Penn State Wilkes-Barre, Jason McManus coached the baseball team from winter 2013 to spring 2016 and brings more than 18 years of experience to the Mountain Lions as returning head coach.
Steven Qarmout, who recently completed his first two years of study at Penn State Wilkes-Barre, has been accepted into a scholarship and leadership program at University Park. Qarmout also received a scholarship from a national forensics organization.
