Rose Bowl viewing party set for Jan. 2 in Wilkes-Barre

The Penn State Wilkes-Barre Alumni Constituent Society will host a Rose Bowl party on Jan. 2, 2017, to celebrate the Nittany Lions' incredible season, which culminated in a Big Ten championship. The party, scheduled for No. 5 Penn State’s matchup against the No. 9 University of Southern California Trojans, gets underway 30 minutes before the game’s 5 p.m. kickoff at the River Grille, located at 670 North River Street in Wilkes-Barre.

Penn State earns Rose Bowl berth, to face USC

Penn State returns to the Rose Bowl and also makes its first trip to a California bowl for the first time since the 2008 season when the Nittany Lions take on Pac-12 foe USC in the 103rd annual Rose Bowl Game at 5 p.m. on Jan. 2.

Applications being accepted for Noyce Scholarship

Applications for the Penn State Secondary Mathematics Noyce Scholarship Program must be submitted by Jan. 18, 2017. The competitive renewable scholarships will provide $19,000 per year for eligible students’ last two years of college.
