Penn State Wilkes-Barre is taking steps toward a more sustainable future by introducing a Sustainability Council. The Penn State Wilkes-Barre Sustainability Council’s mission is to create a campus community that prioritizes sustainability.
Penn State Wilkes-Barre is part of a group of colleges and universities in northeastern Pennsylvania that is working together on safe reopening of campuses for this fall.

Penn State Wilkes-Barre held a Campus Safety Summit on Nov. 16, gathering campus leaders, faculty and staff to share vital information regarding public safety and security. Other campuses are exploring using the safety summit as a template for their campus communities.
Penn State alumni and longtime supporters Ed and Judy Lucy have created the Samuel J. and Ruth Valick Family Scholarship with a gift of $50,000. The scholarship will give preference to students who have served or are serving in the United States military and who are majoring or plan to major in criminal justice.
