Corporations & Foundations

Penn State Wilkes-Barre is actively engaged in developing and maintaining comprehensive partnerships with corporations and foundations in our service area that includes Luzerne, Bradford, Susquehanna, Wyoming and Sullivan.

Several area corporations have supported the campus in a variety of ways including the establishment of endowed scholarships and awards from such entities as Wachovia Bank; The Citizen's Voice/Scranton Times, and InterMetro Industries, among others. In addition, we have received support from WBRE TV, The Times Leader, Offset Paperback Mfrs. Inc., Proctor & Gamble Paper Products, MotorWorld, Rotary Club of Wilkes-Barre, Penn State Alumni Constituent Society and Kiwanis of Wilkes-Barre, for our Summer Youth Program to provide grant assistance to low income children. These are but a few examples of corporate support for this Penn State location.

Furthermore, area foundations have been most generous in funding various campus initiatives including support of our Capital Campaign to construct the Abram Nesbitt Academic Commons.

Lastly, two key additional areas of corporate support include gifts-in-kind where area businesses have donated specialized equipment for classroom or laboratory use as well as the very valuable matching gifts program available to employees which can double, and at times, even triple their annual gift to Penn State Wilkes-Barre.

For more information on these and other giving opportunities, please contact Cara Green, Director of Development and Alumni Relations, at (570) 675-9107 or [email protected].
