Twin connection

Kayla and Alyssa Hopple are twins who do almost everything together and are now adding college to that list. The first-year students—both graduates of Dallas High School—wanted to attend college together because of their close relationship.

The road to success means busy days, nights and weekends for Ali Paris-Hasan ’15, who is establishing his own business while working a full-time job. Paris-Hasan is co-owner of Rock Cut Auto, a Dallas-based car detailing and painting company that also provides mechanical work.

Student leadership

Leading the campus Student Government Association is a big job at any time, and even more so during a pandemic. Larry Corridoni stepped up to the challenge and has become known for his leadership during a difficult time with no roadmap.

As an engineering major and as the only female on the Penn State Wilkes-Barre men’s golf team this year, Mariah Tague is used to forging her own way toward her goals. “I come from a lot of male-dominated sports so I’m fairly used to being a lone female or maybe having one other,” she said, noting that all her teammates and coach have been supportive of her.
