New Student Orientation
All new students to Penn State must participate in New Student Orientation (NSO). At NSO, you will meet with faculty and staff, begin to develop goals for your time at Penn State, learn about campus resources, and schedule courses for your first semester. Please check your email accounts regularly for NSO information.
Submit your immunization records
Penn State University requires all degree-seeking students to be immunized against measles, mumps, and rubella. Several additional immunizations are strongly recommended. Follow these Instructions to submit your immunization records online.
Welcome Day
Welcome Day is designed to help new students acclimate to Penn State Wilkes-Barre and the college experience before classes begin. Watch for email and postal mail notifications.
Paying tuition
Penn State no longer sends paper bills. Bills are e-mailed to your Access Account (your Penn State e-mail address), which you set up when you attend NSO. The first bills go out in mid-July. Billing continues on a weekly basis for students scheduling after mid-July. Payment options are explained in that e-mail, and any financial aid awards are shown as a credit. Bottom line: A minimum one-third payment on your balance will be due three weeks after the billing date.
