Business Career Options

Graduates of the Business program in either option will be able to pursue careers in different areas of business. The program gives students abilities that are sought after by prospective employers, among them team building, critical thinking and problem solving skills. The BSB program requires the completion of an internship program before graduation. This internship is an excellent opportunity for enriching the academic educational experience by immersing students into small or large business.

Graduates of the Management and Marketing Option are prepared for careers in advertising, social media, sales, market research, product management, public relations, retail, entrepreneurship, property or real estate management, insurance, logistics, and human resource management. Between now and 2020 the US Bureau of Labor Statistics expects an 11%-13% growth rate in the number of marketing and management occupations.

Graduates of the Accounting Option are prepared for a wide range of careers, including banking, financial adviser, finance examiner or analyst, loan counselor, management accountant, auditor, tax planner and consultant. Between 2010 and 2020, there is an expected 19% increase in the demand for graduates with accounting knowledge (note that these do not require a CPA license).
