What is R.A.D.?
The Rape Aggression Defense System is a program of realistic self-defense tactics and techniques for women. The R.A.D. System is a comprehensive 12-hour, women-only course that begins with awareness, prevention, risk reduction and risk avoidance, while progressing on to the basics of hands-on defense training, including simulation training. R.A.D. is not a Martial Arts program. The courses are taught by nationally certified R.A.D. instructors and provide each student with a workbook/reference manual. This manual outlines the entire defense program for reference and continuous personal growth.
Who Can Enroll in R.A.D.?
R.A.D. is for women only. The contents of the course were developed based on the natural movements and abilities of women in order to maximize a women’s ability to defend herself. Participants for this class should be 18 years of age. Attendance is limited, and registration is on a first-come, first-served basis.
