Molly Abdalla is the Student Engagement and Outreach Librarian on both the Penn State Wilkes-Barre and Penn State Scranton campuses, with the majority of her time devoted to students at the Nesbitt Library. Ms. Abdalla earned a B.A. in History and Secondary Education from SUNY Geneseo and M.Ed. from Mansfield University before becoming an elementary school librarian. For five years Molly was the Title I Program Manager for the Scranton school district, overseeing federal grant compliance and funding, while simultaneously working part-time as a reference librarian at the University of Scranton. In January 2022, she received an M.S. in Information and Library Science (M.S.L.S.) from Clarion University.

Molly’s research interests include British history and incorporating information literacy concepts into course design.
